Will not play random

I bought this with such excitement but the songs will not play "random" on my iPhone. I had planned on using this on trips for my twin girls at bedtime but it is usless to me If I have to play one song at a time, which only gets the girls attention everytime I have to pick up my phone and choose the next song.

Please please see if there is a bug that can be fixed so we can hear random songs played for the time range chosen. This is actually the 1st app that I have downloaded that did not do what It says..... I was very dissapointed.
